I never had a chance to share my contribution in The Great Atlas of Polish Queens I did in 2012. The comic anthology is based on the stories from Lubiewo (eng. Lovetown), bestselling book by Michał Witkowski. The book is a hilarious and very dramatic novel about gays (queens) living in a Communism state.
Series of paintings about choices and helplessness. I wanted to focus on the biological and social pressures of being a woman. Boiling water in Polish is decribed in one word — Wrzątek. I've chosen this particular one to underline the throbbing tension in these seemingly silent and very symbolical situations.
